The Ghana Football Association has released referee appointments for all nine Ghana Premier League fixtures this weekend, starting Saturday in Swedru.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), the body that runs organised football in the country, has published the list of match officials for Matchday Six of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The round opens on Saturday, October 10, with one fixture, and the remaining eight games follow on Sunday, October 11.
Saturday's opener in Swedru
Swedru All Blacks host Asante Kotoko at the Swedru Stadium, with Rustum Gameli Senorgbe appointed as the centre referee. He will be assisted by Roland Adddy and Theophilus Akugre, while Courage Ampofo takes the fourth official role.
It is the highest-profile assignment of the weekend, given Kotoko's travelling support and the attention the club draws both at home and among Ghanaians following the league from abroad.
Sunday's eight fixtures
At the UG Stadium in Accra, Reginald Collins Amoah will referee Hearts of Oak against Port City FC.
Berekum Chelsea welcome Debibi United to the Golden City Park, where Prince Okoto Ntiamoah has been given the whistle.
Gideon Nii-Coffie takes charge of Young Apostles against Aduana FC at the Wenchi Stadium.
Charles Bulu has been assigned to GoldStars' meeting with Basake Holy Stars, while Jacob Aduntera will handle Bechem United against Vision FC.
Foster Bastiours referees Medeama's game with Hearts of Lions at the TNA Stadium, and Rita Boateng Nkansah has been named for Ashantigold against FC Samartex 1996.
The round closes with Karela United hosting Dreams FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, where Sumaila Nazeef is the referee.
The appointments were reported by The Ghana Report.
Why the list matters
Refereeing appointments are routine administrative announcements, but in Ghana they are followed closely. Clubs and supporters often scrutinise who has been assigned to their matches, and the GFA publishes the list in advance so that teams know the officiating team before kick-off.
The inclusion of Rita Boateng Nkansah for the Ashantigold against Samartex fixture also keeps a female referee in the middle for a top-flight game, a detail that has drawn attention in recent Ghanaian league seasons.
What to watch next
With six matchdays now gone, the standings will begin to take clearer shape after this weekend. For fans in the United States and elsewhere who track the league through streams and club social media pages, the published list is a useful reference point: it confirms venues as well as officials, including the use of the UG Stadium for Hearts of Oak's home fixture and the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale for Karela United.
The GFA did not announce any changes to kick-off times in the statement covering the officials.
