Indomie Ties GH¢4 Million Promo To School, Library And Women's Projects

Four well-known Ghanaian stars are fronting causes that consumers can back by entering codes from noodle packs, with prizes running until January 2027.

Shoppers who buy a pack of Indomie instant noodles between now and January will be asked to do two things: enter a code for a chance to win, and pick a celebrity whose community project they want to support.

That is the shape of the Indomie Yi WoDe
initiative, a national consumer promotion by De United Foods Industries Limited (DUFIL), the company that manufactures Indomie in Ghana. Daily Guide Network reports that the campaign runs from 15 October 2026 to 15 January 2027.

The four captains and their causes

Four entertainers have been named Community Captains, each attached to a cause focused on women and children.

  • Nana Ama McBrown is rebuilding a school in a deprived community.
  • KiDi is supplying art materials to children on hospital wards.
  • Giovanni Caleb is putting up a library for children who have never had access to one.
  • Stonebwoy is backing women to set up their own Indomie Express businesses.

Each pick by a consumer moves that celebrity up a live national leaderboard, which means the projects are, in effect, driven by how many people choose them.

How to enter

Every promotional pack carries a unique code. Consumers enter the code either on the Indomie Ghana website, indomieghana.com, or through the short code *844 44#, and then select the celebrity they want to support. The same entry puts the consumer into the prize draw.

DUFIL says GH
4 million worth of rewards is on the table. That includes GH
25,000 in cash every week, plus mobile phones, televisions, freezers, gas cookers, fans, air fryers and microwaves. Other prizes are a one-year supply of Indomie, airtime, mobile money, shopping vouchers and a car, which was unveiled at the launch event on 17 October.

Why the language plan matters

Promotions of this kind often lose people who are not comfortable reading English instructions. The organisers say community influencers will explain how the promo works in Ga, Fante, Twi, Ewe and other northern Ghanaian languages.

Brand Manager for Indomie Ghana, Jessica Quaynor, framed the campaign as a thank-you to long-standing buyers. "Every pick helps a community," she said at the launch.

What it means for readers abroad

For Ghanaians in the United States following from a distance, the practical detail is that entry depends on a code found inside a promo pack sold in Ghana, so participation sits with family and friends at home. The wider point is that a food manufacturer is linking its marketing budget to small-scale social projects, and the size of each project will depend partly on how many consumers vote with their packs over the three-month window.

The promotion closes on 15 January 2027.
